And last but not least, the final in class painting during my student life at OCADU. I really enjoyed experimenting with the juxtaposition of a painterly style mixed with my bold, graphic illustration style.

Here is a little snap shot of my progress.
I have managed to successfully import all the letters into TypeTool 3. I still have a long way to go. It’s amazing to see your work come to life. Literally.
Now, excuse me while I go cry in a corner. Let’s just say I am only about 60 percent complete. Though this is fun it is tedious work.
Another page from my collaborative zine project. There is still a few of these limited edition screen printed zines left, and by few I mean…like barely. Each zine has a one of one drawing.

Alright, Here I go…
We’re taking this waaaaay back. So far back that I don’t even remember, honest.
My mother was kind enough to save most of my drawings as a kid. I cannot even express how thankful I am she did this. Not only its hilarious to look back at what I used to draw, mostly people of course (Always had this fascination with people & faces from a young age), but in a really marvellous way this shit warms my heart.
Guess I was an artist before I even knew it. I have a stack of these that I plan on scanning and featuring later on but for now, please do me a favour and try to enjoy these…Let’s begin from the top:
Not only this was part of my healthy development as a child but also as a young’n I was still capturing the world around me so vividly. I wonder what my thinking process was like!
I miss being a kid.
A sneak peek into Saturday Art Live. Thank you those of you who dropped by & everyone who put up with my craziness that day.
It’s definitely challenging having to illustrate in front of everyone while they watch you. I managed to get into the zone, like I would at home. I started put with a 12 x 8 wood painting and just couldn’t get it to feel ‘right’. Every artist knows what I mean. So…I took a break, zoned out and created this on the spot. Free hand. No sketches.
I realized something amazing this day. I’m not going to ramble on about it here. But I will do a post later on my preferred process.
To view the illustration, head down to community 54, they will have it up at their Toronto store for one week, for sale. It’s a signed one of one piece. Thanks again to Contra x Community 54 for having me at their spot.
Last but not least, a big shout out to my girl Patrice, my photographer & my right hand. Love you more than you know. <3.
